I've always been a writer, weaving fantastical stories of otherworldly monsters and undead alliances for almost thirty years. My self-publishing journey began ten years ago with new adult and young adult genre fiction. This process has been littered with bumps and learning curves. It is also one of my greatest accomplishments and passions. But it became quite clear in 2020 that I had an entirely unique set of characters vying for my attention. Vulnerable, human characters, which opened the door to my pen name, R.V. Asher. 

I have not only embraced R.V. Asher, I am Reece Vita Asher. My characters are a healthy mix of my imagination, emotions from past experiences, and personal fears. Being R.V. Asher has given me a way to connect with other women and celebrate the many hats we wear. Sometimes that includes the extremes of being a hot mess or a powerhouse. It is also a way of embracing sexuality and appreciating the unique connections we create through love.

Our flaws are our greatest gifts. I like to focus on a character's motivation, and what he/she has to lose in that moment. Then I activate their flaws. I also like to depart from the expected, mixing a dose of the mundane with gasoline...or, in Petra & Leland's case, dynamite.
